End of life care is care of a person with a life limiting illness. This can range from ensuring the person is pain free to looking after their skin and relieving other symptoms. Sometimes a specialist end of life care team may be needed to provide advice. MTHCS has members of the District Nursing team and facility based nurses trained in end of life care. Rooms in Ouyen and Sea Lake are developed to support people and their families during their time in our care.
For enquiries regarding end of life care, call the Ouyen Service Centre on (03) 5092 1111 and speak to the Nurse Unit Manager, or call the Sea Lake Service Centre on (03) 5070 2155 and speak to the Director of Nursing or District Nursing Team.
