What is My Aged Care?
My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s starting point for accessing aged care services. It provides information about the services available and helps older people, their families and carers find the support they need.
My Aged Care can provide information about:
- The different types of aged care services available.
- Your eligibility for government-funded services.
- Referrals to service providers, including MTHCS, that may be able to meet your needs.
- Your possible financial contribution towards the cost of your care.
When you contact My Aged Care, they can help you understand:
- Which services may be available to you.
- How much the services may cost.
- How to access the services you need.
My Aged Care may arrange a face-to-face assessment to better understand your care needs. Following your assessment, you can ask for MTHCS to be listed as your preferred aged care service provider.
