Podiatrists deal with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the feet and lower limbs. Many conditions may be prevented by early diagnosis and intervention by a Podiatrist.
The podiatry service regularly has a waiting list for service given the high demand of the service.
To support the demand for podiatry services, MTHCS has Foot Care Clinics for people who are unable to cut their own toenails. These clinics are provided by Allied Health Assistants under the guidance of the Podiatrist. The Podiatist will refer clients to this service.
The Podiatry Department operates clinics from Mallee Track Health and Community Service Sites in Ouyen, Sea Lake, Underbool and Murrayville.
MTHCS receives funding from a number of different sources to provide services. To find out if you're eligible for a subsidised service visit the Service Access page.
For general enquiries or to book an appointment call the Ouyen Service Centre on (03) 5092 1111.
