As a residential aged care facility, MTHCS have several obligations under Pandemic Orders issued by the Minister for Health to help contain the spread of COVID-19 and keep residents, staff and visitors safe.


Aged care restrictions

Restrictions changes depending on current health advice. Please phone ahead to ensure your visit can go ahead as planned. Online and outdoor visits are also options to support residents to stay connected to family and friends.

Testing

It is extremely important that anyone with even the mildest of symptoms gets tested for COVID-19. Only leave home to get tested, then return home and isolate until you receive your results.

Please phone medical clinics in Sea Lake or Ouyen to make an appointment. Swabs completed before midday to ensure test is sent with pathology run.  There are clinics in Swan Hill and Mildura available over the weekend and during the Christmas new year period when our medical clinics are closed.

Face masks

Face masks are required when onsite in the aged care facility and when receiving health care services. 

Vaccination

MTHCS medical clinics are supporting with vaccination roll out. Please contact the clinic for information about how to get a vaccination. Or go to coronavirus.vic.gov.au/vaccine for information on state run clinics and appointments at pharmacies supporting the vaccine roll out.

Screening

When coming onto our sites all staff and visitors are to complete QR code sign in and an attestation around COVID symptoms and where they have been and whether they are a household contact or asked to isolate by DHHS.

MTHCS management team have regular Incident Control Group meetings to support with the health service‚Äôs response to the pandemic.
