Mallee Drifters donate to the Foundation of Mallee Track
Good ‘CAR’ma abounds as Vintage Car Club the Mallee Drifters President Leonard Vallance presented a generous donation of $6,400 dollars to the Foundation of Mallee Track’s Chair Howard Crothers and MTHCS CEO Dr Frances Peart.
Leonard Vallance spoke from the heart when he said, “The Mallee Drifters Car Club has members ranging from Murrayville all the way down to Nandaly in the southeast of the Mallee region. And we’re dedicated to raising money for the community which is badly needed. We rely on each other in times of need and it’s important to all our members from the youngest at 12 to the oldest in their 90’s to show our towns we care.”
Howard Crothers shared, “The Foundation was formed 3 years ago and is a registered charity, so all monies donated to the foundation are tax deductible. It is important to donate so we can improve the workings of our health service which covers a large area of the Mallee.”
“Donations from the Community are essential to developing a sense of ownership of our health services in remote areas as well as ensuring we stay up to date with the latest equipment. The money received from the Mallee Drifters will be put to good to purchase the HoloLens 2 system which will upgrade our capacity for virtual connection. Empowering teams to work securely and enhance patient treatment, bringing care closer to home.” said Frances Peart.
