A golden visit to Sea Lake. All enjoyed cuddles with nurse Tamara’s Golden Retriever puppies on a recent visit to Sea Lake nursing home. Needless to say we all fell in love and even named one for ourselves “Bobby”.

Classic hits and memories. It was a delight to welcome In the Mood back to our Sea Lake hostel to entertain residents. Playing a mix of favourite tunes, the duo had the crowd tapping their toes and singing along throughout the show.

Sharing a meal on Australia Day. While many in the community took the chance to enjoy a day off on Australia Day, many of our staff were hard at work providing important care and services. To celebrate the public holiday our teams on site were able to enjoy a lunch of chicken, cheese and coleslaw rolls together, followed by a helping of pavlova!

Pattinson House residents and staff have made the most of the cooler weather and spent several hours in the garden this week – identifying the different varieties of flowers and plants. There was repotting, rearranging and lots of watering, helping residents to achieve a sense of purpose. As 100-year-old Win Smith said, "I am in my element, this means so much to me."

A perfect summer treat. Sometimes, something sweet is required to get through a hot day. Our Martin Wing residents at the Ouyen hostel put their baking skills to the test recently, turning out some delicious pavlovas. Rest assured, they tasted just as good as they looked!

One of our big recent successes has been our infant swimming program. We've had 52 children participate in this vital water safety and awareness program this term.
